They spreads by short rhizomes. \u00a0From often a woody-based stem they bear simple, toothed or smooth edged and sometimes hairy, spatula shaped leaves. \u00a0In spring and summer it bears cross shaped 4 petaled white to purple flowers are borne in racemes 1 \u00bc-3\u201d long. \u00a0Great in a rock garden, wall or crevices.<\/p>\n

Easily grown in any well-drained soil in full sun. \u00a0Will tolerate hot dry conditions and poor infertile soils. \u00a0Trim after flowering. \u00a0They can be divided.<\/p>\n
