P. x rectus<\/strong> – This upright, suckering shrub is a cross between P. aequalis and P. capensis grows 5′ feet tall and wide and is not as invasive as its parents. It produces ovate, dark green leaves, to 4″ long. In summer it bears pendent tubular, pale red flowers, to 2 \u00bd” long, are held in panicles 6-12″ long.<\/p>\n
