There are some 50 species of fleshy rooted rhizomatous perennial from grassy scrub on hillsides from Europe, Northern Africa, and Asia, in this genus. \u00a0They forms clumps of narrow grass like leaves. \u00a0In spring or summer wiry 3\u2019 foot long stems carry small starry 6 petalled white flowers in racemes or panicles followed by brown capsular fruits. \u00a0Great for herbaceous border and an excellent cut flowers.<\/p>\n

Grow in moist, but well-drained soil in full sun or morning shade. \u00a0Divide in late winter to early spring.<\/p>\n

Prone to\u00a0rust, slug and snail <\/i><\/em>damage.<\/p>\n

Anthericum ramosum \u2013 Anthericum graminifolium<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 This rhizomatous perennial grows 36\u201d tall and derives found from Northern to Southern Europe, and Turkey. \u00a0It produces linear gray-green leaves 16\u201d long. \u00a0In early and mid summer it bears branched open panicles of star shaped lily-like white flowers to \u00bd\u201d wide with tepals \u00bd-3\/4\u201d long.<\/p>\n
