\nThere is a sole species of a deciduous tree in this genus. Found in forest in China, Korea, Japan, and Eastern Siberian. It has a spreading habit and large, variably shaped, palmately lobed leaves, which are arranged alternately and vary from hairless to very hairy beneath. In late summer it bears large, terminal, umbel like panicles of usually white, four or five petalled flowers, and are followed by spherical blue black fruit. It is a fine specimen tree.
